چکیده

Seed quality is an important issue in forestry as it essential parameter the production of high planting material. Many factors may hinder harvesting seeds, including insufficient number sunny days, external conditions temperate climate zones, and fungal pathogens affecting development seedlings. We undertook to develop a procedure maximizing seed protection promoting optimum physiological seedlings by examination impact pelleting (a general method) on germination rates seedling Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.). Germination pelleted seeds was examined relation substrate (water vs. soil) LED light spectrum (white red-blue). Several dormancy breaking treatments were applied: stratification/scarification, growth regulator gibberellic acid (GA3), indole-3-acetic (IAA) 1-naphthaleneacetic (NAA), stimulate germination. Experiments included independent tests for each treatment (stratification/scarification plant regulators), combinations both stratification/scarification phytohormone treatments. The impacts these various controlled fluorescence chlorophyll analyzed using maximum efficiency photosystem II photochemistry (Fv/Fm). In addition, b content germinated from quantified high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). combined most effective method seeds. are highly likely be photoblastic. best rate, while maintaining optimal parameters, achieved acidic soil (pH 5.0) with white light.

Characterization of a Lhcb5 cDNA from Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris).

Despite extensive studies on the LHC proteins of PSI and PSII (for review, see Jansson, 1994), the detailed polypeptide composition of LHC I and LHC I1 has not been understood until recently. The nature of the Lhcb5 gene product has been one of the major uncertainties, since it has been identified both as the CP26 (or the equivalent complex LHCIIc) polypeptide and one of two CP29 polypeptides (...

Identification and Quantification of Indole-3-methanol in Etiolated Seedlings of Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris L.).

Combined gas chromatography-mass spectrometry has been used to identify indole-3-methanol in a purified buffer extract from etiolated seedlings of Pinus sylvestris L. Quantitative estimates obtained by high performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection, corrected for losses occurring during purification, indicated that etiolated seedlings of P. sylvestris contained 19.7 +/- 1.4 ...

Biochemical and structural characteristics of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) in an alkaline environment

Investigations in a 75–85-year-old Scots pine stand were performed on a territory influenced over 40 years by alkaline dust pollution (pH 12.3–12.7) emitted from a cement plant. Sample plots were located at distances of 2, 3, and 5 km E of the emission source and a control sample plot was selected on an unpolluted territory 38 km W of it. We studied soil properties and the anatomical structure,...

Seed dormancy-breaking and germination requirements of

Dormancy breaking and germination requirements were investigated in seeds of Ferula ovina and Ferula gummosa. Seeds of rather species were collected from north and eastern-north rangelands of Iran. Seeds of each of the species were subjected to different treatments including various levels of GA3, chilling and combination of GA3 and chilling (GA-chilling). In contrast to treated seeds, non-trea...
